The welcome tab

This is the first window you will see as a new user.

Use the icons, menus and tabs to navigate around on this window

The top area displays your current subscription level: Basic (free), Plus6, and Pal Extreme. It also tells you how many people are online in how many rooms.

A brief video clip will play that welcomes you to the world of Paltalk multimedia chat rooms.  You should be able to see the video play and hear voice.  If the movie played and you could hear voice, you are well on your way to a trouble free chat experience.

As a new user you may wish to join one of our welcome rooms.  Welcome rooms are 'geo-targeted' so you will meet people who speak the same language.

In the welcome rooms you will be greeted by one of our friendly volunteer hosts who will let you know if your microphone and web cam are working ok.  If you have any problems you can visit one of our many help rooms that are located in the 'help' category on the main group list window.

To join a welcome room, click on the 'join welcome room' button with your left mouse button.

If you do not want to join a welcome room and want to go straight to the thousands of other available multimedia chat rooms, click on the 'browse video chat rooms' button with your left mouse button.

Once you become an experienced Paltalk user you may not wish to see the welcome tab every time you log in.  To disable the welcome tab place a checkmark in the 'do not show me this tab again' box located in the lower left hand corner of the window.
